Management and Development Corporation of Technological Park of Thessaloniki S.A. (TTP/MDC S.A.)
TTP/MDC S.A was founded in 1994 supported by C.P.E.R.I. (research institute now belonging to C.E.R.T.H.) and a number of significant industrial organisations of Central Macedonia. TTP/MDC S.A. promotes and enhances TTP’s activities in collaboration with the Federation of Industries of Northern Greece (F.I.N.G.), Universities and Research Institutes. TTP/MDC S.A. is a member of the International Association of Science Parks, and one of the establishing bodies for the Hellenic Science & Technology Park Association (HELSTEP).
Activities
· Regional Development
TTP/MDC S.A. promotes activities that contribute to the enhancement of competitiveness of Greek Industry and especially to: Chemical Process and Technology, Materials, Foods - Drinks, Textile and Energy and Environment by participating to variable European and National Projects that promote Regional Growth. Additionally, it records the current and future needs of the Industrial Sector of Northern Greece targeting to integrate the Technological Research with the generation and the exploitation of research results. A continuously expanding, information dissemination network has been developed,consisting of research institutes, industrial enterprises, regional initiatives for development and innovative technologies aiming to improve enterprises’ competitiveness.
· Technology Transfer
The Technology Transfer Unit focuses on the integration and linkage of research activities and regional industry through establishing collaborations, evaluation and promotion of research results, research proposal preparation, and implementation of R&D projects supporting technological development. Furthermore, the Unit informs SMEs on topics such as research results, technology evolution, quality, environment, energy etc.
It’s services include: technology brokerage, technology audit, browsing and evaluating of technologies, assist in technology transfer contracts etc.
· International Technology Transfer
TTP/MDC S.A. promotes technology transfer in collaboration with the European Union, USA, Eastern Europe and Balkans.
· Vocational Training
TTP/MDC S.A. plays a crucial role in the continuous education and training of human capital operating as a link between Greek industry and the widely international acknowledged experts in new technological fields.
Moreover, TTP/MDC S.A. organizes, implements and participates in national and international training projects. TTP/MDC S.A examines topics that concern vocational training and organizes training seminars for the use of new technologies.
· Services for the Incubator
Thessaloniki Technology Park Incubator building refers to enterprises and individuals interested in the transformation of an innovative idea/ concept and new products or services into business success. TTP/MDC S.A. provides the Incubator’s enterprises with services, such as: Secretarial support, fax, photocopies, Internet & ISDN connections, e-mail, search of partnerships and support for participation to National and European R&D or marketing projects.
